Ready for Ribbing

I’ve been working stockinette and garter stitch constantly since March 4 and am happy to announce that tomorrow I get to start the ribbing on the Eyelet Cardi. Some of my knitting pals are probably chuckling at the fact that I’m excited about knitting ribbing, especially 1×1 ribbing. Ribbing is usually tedious but am ready for a change. This sweater has lots of stitches–DK weight yarn on size 5 needles. I’m finding the stockinette so monotonous that the last three days I’ve loaded a book in the Kindle app on my laptop and read while knitting.

Tomorrow I’ll work the 5 rows of ribbing then start one of the sleeves. Sleeves should move pretty fast as I should be able to work about an inch an hour.

I didn’t take a picture today as the piece looks like it did yesterday.

Till next time, no frogs, no tinks, just knits.

Till next time,
