Destination Eyelet Cardi, Days 14 and 15

Despite the fact that tinking occurred, the cardi is beginning to look like a sweater now. On day 14 I discovered a counting fail, then mis-read the pattern which led to tinking. Both of these are tasks that mature knitters should know how to do. And, yes, I do know how to do both. And below, you’ll see that I had both of these problems on both projects that I’m working.

Counting fail…I WILL in future place markers every 25 stitches or so to make counting easier. This works best for me and I have enough markers and different color ones so that this may be easily accomplished.

Mis-reading patterns…well, that happens from time to time. I could blame it on lack of focus or sleep knitting but neither is the reason this time. I guess I’ll add a new rule: Read twice, knit once. I already know and use “Measure twice, cut once.”

The baby surprise jacket is also beginning to look like a jacket. I should have made a flat picture and a folded picture for posting. Maybe next time. Despite the tinking, due to pattern mis-read and counting fail, I’m still right on schedule with project.

Till next time, no frogs, no tinks, just knits.
