Destination Eyelet Cardi, Days 10 and 11

Only 10 more rows of yoke to go on the Eyelet Cardi so I should be on track to finish the yoke on Wednesday (day 13). The cardi is tapered but I won’t work body shaping so my version will be straight.

Day 11 was knit night and we met at Outback in Danville. The city of Danville was under a boil order. Water had been contaminated by fertilizer run-off due to heavy rains over the weekend. We had to use plastic utensils and paper plates. I was disappointed because I love Outback’s steaks but didn’t think cutting steak would be easy with plastic knit so had to settle for a salad. One of the Danville knitters is moving away and another who’d moved earlier was in town for a couple of weeks.

Detour

The baby surprise jacket is halfway finished. Non-knitters, no, it doesn’t look like a jacket but, when finished and folded, I’ll sew two seams and  it will be a cute little jacket. It’s plain so I always try to find fancy or colorful buttons. I’m trying to knit 7 rows a day but today I could knit extra but decided to stop and play computer games for a bit.

Till next time, no frogs, no tinks, just knits.
