Destination Eyelet Cardi, Day 8

I ended day 8 two rows below eyelet lace pattern. The rest of the cardi is stockinette and ribbing. My goal for the rest of the yoke is 6 or 7 rows a day. I’m thinking closer to 6. I’m pleased with the yarn, Malabrigo Silky Merino, and the fabric. I’ve used Malabrigo Lace and Malabrigo Merino worsted with mixed results. So I’m happy that Silky Merino is knitting up so well.

Detour

I reached my goal or 8 rows on the baby surprise jacket. I love Liberty Wool but hate it when I find a knot in self-striping yarn. I’m a bit on the OCD side with my striping. The skein of Liberty Wool I’m using now had a knot. On this project the stripes don’t matter. I’ve used 20 or so skeins of this yarn and never found a knot. I’m hoping that this one slipped past quality control and that I don’t find more.

Till next time, no frogs, no tinks, just knits.
