Destination Loopy Laces, Day 5

The Southparknitter Rules for Knitting state “no lace knitting or other intricate patterns that require counting after 9 pm.” I’m now going to add “no heel turns after 9 pm.” I finished the gusset and heel turn and started the heel flap. I made a mistake on the heel turn but increased a stitch and carried on. I looks like I left off a row but I can’t envision how that would happen. I decided that whatever was wrong couldn’t be seen from the back of a galloping horse so leaving it was “legal.” I invoked that rule on the foot too.  I had a place that I couldn’t decide whether it was a mistake or not. Yeah, that should have been a “no-brainer”–if I can’t tell, no one else will be able to see it either. I hope to finish the heel flap on day 6 and maybe start the leg.

Detour

I’ve finished 1.5 pattern repeats on 198 yards of heaven. I hope to finish this one over the weekend. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish without visiting the frog pond. I like Cascade Pacific for these shawls. It’s washable, soft and lightweight–exactly what’s needed for prayer shawls and throws.

Till next time, no frogs,  no tinks, just knits.
