Augusta Revisited, Day 2

The Cascade 220 Superwash is a much better yarn choice for the Augusta. This is a sweater that I’ll wear. I’m afraid that if I’d continued with the Artesanal. The sweater would have lived in a drawer.

I stated last night that I’d use the Artesanal for my design sweater but realize now that I want to use a yarn that will gauge at 4.5 stitches per inch for that project. I’d have to use size 5 US needles to get that gauge with Artesanal and maybe smaller. The fabric would then be pretty dense so I suspect that I’ll use some Berroco Ultra Alpaca or Vintage for that project.

Detour

South Park Throw 2 is coming along. I worked about 8 rows today. The picture is only a portion of the piece so you can see detail. The yarn here is Jarbo Duo and I’m using size 13 US needles.

Till next time, no frogs, no tinks, just knits.
