Destination Augusta Cardigan, Days 1 and 2

I’m about 4 rows behind my intended goal of 54 rows on the back of the Augusta Cardigan. Again the yarn is Aslan Trends Artesanal and needles are size 8 US.  I have a couple of reasons for this. First, I had to backtrack and rework the sleeves of Acer. After washing, they became baboon sleeves and, since I don’t have baboon arms, I had to frog about 3 inches and knit the garter ridge band. Second, I fell victim to sleep knitting which I often do on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Hopefully I’ll catch up.

Detour

I did finish South Park Throw a day early. I’m not thrilled with this project. The throw is more diamond-shaped than square. I have to knit a second prayer throw and will probably again use size 13 US needles and Jarbo Duo but will cast on stitches needed to get size I want and work stockinette with a garter ridge border.

Till next time, no frogs, no tinks, just knits.
