The Queue

Today I added the queue to the sidebar.  These are projects that will hopefully be finished or on the needles on December 31, 2012.  I listed 33 projects because even though my goal is two projects a month.  I’m thinking that some months I’ll be able to finish 3.  Also a couple of projects I’m not sure that yarn selected will work for the pattern picked so if I can’t find a more appropriate pattern I’ll re-stash the yarn and move on to the next project.

Along with the stash-busting queue, I will also be finishing Alice Starmore’s Oregon Cardigan.  This is a stranded sweater that is wool and too hot to work during the summer.  So it hibernates during the summer.  This is the fourth winter I’ve worked it and I hope that it will be finished by March.  Also the pattern is intricate so I only work on it an hour or so a day.

Since the purpose is to reduce stash, I’ve made a few rules with exceptions about yarn purchases.  I’ll talk about these in my next post.

Till then, no frogs, no tinks, just knits.

I love those Ada Lovelace socks. I can’t wait to see them off the needles!

Very ambitious, but I have no doubt you will succeed!
